His Worship Wadri Sam Nyakua is first substantively elected Mayor of Arua City, one of the newest cities in Uganda located in the North Western part of the country, taking office in May 2021 and will serve until 2026. 

Before becoming City Mayor, Mr. Wadri served as Chairman - Arua District Local Government for 10 years between 2011 and 2021. He was Secretary for Finance - Arua District from 2006 to 2011, while representing the Youth
as Male Councilor to the District Council.

His Worship Wadri served as Secondary School Teacher for 5 years before joining politics.

His Worship Wadri is 46 years old and holds Master of Arts – Development Studies of Bugema University – Uganda, Bachelor of Development Studies of Uganda Christian University, Diploma in Education – Secondary of
Kyambogo University - Uganda and Certificate in Administrative Law
